Binkholder, Dunlap & Solomon

Mike Dunlap’s passion and love for investing led him on a path of working for Principal Financial Group for a number of years, until he had an “awakening” moment and realized there were many people who were utterly lacking the knowledge and guidance necessary to achieve a successful retirement.  Focused primarily on working households, Mike made the calculated decision in early 2000 to leave his comfort zone with a national company and create The Senior Resource Center – St. Louis, which focused on helping retirees and individuals in need of advanced wealth transfer techniques not found in the normal planning process.  Since its inception, The Senior Resource Center has helped hundreds of households through monthly trainings, small group meetings and one-on-one contact.  In September of 2006, Mike realized the best way he could reach an ever-growing segment of retirees was to team up to form what is today known as Binkholder, Dunlap & Solomon.  The formation of this new partnership brings together extensive investment experience and financial knowledge, along with a superior staff of professionals in various areas of practice.  These areas include legal, accounting, insurance, investment, and mortgage experience.

On a professional level, Mike holds a Life and Health Insurance license with the State of Missouri, along with being licensed as a Securities Representative: Series 6 and 63.  Mike professionally has had many achievements, including membership and induction into the Million Dollar Roundtable – the premier organization of financial and insurance professionals.  One especially memorable event Mike has been privileged to experience was when his business accomplishments resulted in his winning a bright red Corvette Z06!  For those of you who know Mike well, you know his love of cars is a close second behind the enthusiasm he has for his profession.  Winning the Corvette was just an added bonus to the personal satisfaction Mike feels in helping his clients reach their financial goals.

On a personal note, Mike and his wife Karen have been married 34 years and have 3 wonderful daughters:  Kristyn, Lindsay & Stephanie.  They are through and through St. Louis natives, having lived here their entire lives.
